2014 Elf Ornament

For the second year in a row, the Stoneware Art Factory in Louisville, Kentucky has developed a two-dimensional ornament for the holidays. This year’s Elf design joins last year’s Santa, snowman, gingerbread man and reindeer ornaments. The new Stoneware Elf compliments the three-dimensional nutcracker version from 2013.

In American folklore, a Christmas elf is a diminutive creature that lives with Santa Claus in the North Pole and acts as his helper. Santa's elves are often said to make the toys in Santa's workshop and take care of his reindeer, among other tasks. And this little helper looks eager to get started.

This Stoneware elf is clad in green with pointy ears and a pointy hat. Each ornament is hand painted and no two are exactly alike. Each ornament is hand tied with a coordinating gingham ribbon and ready for immediate hanging or can be displayed on the mantel.

The two-dimensional Elf weighs about 4 ounces, is approximately 2.5” x 5” x 0.25” and is hand tied with a red gingham ribbon. Due to the unique nature of our products, dimensions listed may not be exact.
